Death
When I do readings for people they always freak when the
Death card appears. This card does not mean an actual death is imminent for anyone, though. It means that a major phase in your life is ending. Now, if a relationship ends or you lose your job that will be painful. However, when you look back, you’ll probably see that this ending was positive.
If you look back on July’s reading, it might just be that you’ve used that month to figure out whether you should stick with your current job, or remain in a less-than-stellar relationship, or continue you a non-paid venture. But, in August, you’re realizing that you need to move on. There’s nothing wrong with this. In fact, moving on is usually the best and healthiest move you can make.
When the
Death card appears I always ask my clients whether there’s something they’ve always wanted to do but haven’t found the strength to do it. Maybe you want to visit a place that will take some time to fly there and cost more than a few dollars. Start saving now. Maybe you want to create something but know you’ll need to get some training first. Sign up for a class. Hey, maybe the change is as simple as getting a new haircut or buying some new clothes.
Just remember that whatever you lose this month, you didn’t really need it. Also, this loss will give you the room to bring in something (or, someone) new and better. Relax. It’s all good.
Three of Swords
The
Three of Swords always represents pain of some kind. And since August’s reading said to be aware of a big change in your life, you might find this change painful. These events are never easy, but with a little bit of warning, they might be less painful than if they spring up unexpectedly.
If there is someone in your life that causes you pain, let them go. You might feel that your life will be less without them, but that’s just not so. If you have a job that’s burning you out, start looking for a new job. Whatever is not working for you right now means that you need to be proactive and fix the situation before the Universe does it for you. I’ve found that the Universe seems to find the most painful of ways to get something accomplished. So, if you need to exorcise someone or something, do it quickly.
I find that the
Three of Swords can also indicate health problems. If you have any issues that will require surgery, make sure you understand all the pros and cons. Don’t get surgery unless you like and trust your doctor. Unless the need for surgery is dire, use this month to educate yourself about how to best heal. The Three of Swords can also indicate heart problems and women-related issues. So, if you are dealing with any of these issues, make sure you find out what’s wrong and determine the best fix.
The good news is that you will find a way to either completely fix or manage whatever ails you. Remember, the Death card does not mean a physical death. It’s more of a shake-up energy that lets you fix yourself and your life.
July, August, and September are bringing us a lot of energy that will help us focus and clean up whatever might be blocking us. This can be as simple as doing a thorough cleaning of your home or it can be something more complex, like weeding out people who are toxic. Maybe it’s time for a new job or a new you. Whatever you decide to do, though, do it knowing that it’s the best thing you can do.
